Board | Mission

Environment and Human Health, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to protecting human health from environmental harms through research, education and the promotion of sound public policy. Environment and Human Health, Inc. is made up of doctors, public health professionals and policy experts committed to the reduction of environmental health risks to individuals.

Founded in 1997, EHHI has affected state policy, and, in some instances, national policy, by our research, education, and written reports.

Our Mission

To conduct research to identify environmental harms affecting human populations.

To promote public education concerning the relationships between the environment and human health.

To promote effective communication of environmental health risks to those exposed and to responsible public and private officials, thereby empowering individuals and groups to take control over the quality of their environment and be more protective of themselves and their families.

To promote policies in all sectors that ensure the protection of human and environmental health with fairness and timeliness.

Environment and Human Health, Inc. has put human health at the center of its environmental agenda.
